This Web-Site features the Art of Don Ford. Don had his first flying lesson ($10) in January of 1956 in a J-3 Cub at Gilpin Airport (later known as the Freeway Airport) at the north end of town in Tucson, Arizona. Don went on to serve a couple of tours in the U.S. Marines and later entered the Ministry. While “saving the world? but still missing his flying he became a Flight Instructor, an A/P Mechanic, a Sailplane “junkie?, Missionary Pilot and Crop-duster. Drawing (literally) from his experience of 73 years of “spontaneous? living he is now able to share some of his lighter experiences with the few that just haven’t quite arrived there yet.
